Trueburn keeps your log on your device and in your own iCloud. We do not have an account system, so we hold no name, no email address and no password for you. Meal photos are sent for analysis and then deleted.
Your profile, every meal and workout you log, your weigh-ins and your targets are stored on your iPhone. If you use iCloud, they sync through your own Apple account — we cannot read them.
When you photograph a meal, the image is sent over an encrypted connection to an AI provider that estimates what is on the plate. The provider returns the estimate and does not keep the image for training. The photo stays on your device for seven days so you can check a past entry, then Trueburn deletes it automatically. You can delete it sooner at any time.
Progress photos you choose to save to your timeline are different: they stay until you delete them, and they are never sent anywhere.
An anonymous identifier for your installation, used only to count your free daily analyses. It is not linked to you, your Apple ID, or anything you log. We collect no analytics, no advertising identifiers and no location.
If you subscribe to Trueburn Plus, you may optionally give us an email address for your receipt and product updates. This is asked once, after purchase, and is entirely skippable. It is never required to use the app.
Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card details. We check with Apple whether your subscription is active; that is all.
Weights, calories and macros are personal health information and are treated as such. They are never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never used to build a profile of you. If you connect Apple Health, Trueburn reads your active energy and weight to improve its estimates, and writes the meals you log back to Health. That data stays on your device and in your own Health store.
Export everything as CSV or delete everything from Settings, at any time, without asking us. Deleting the app removes the local copy; deleting Trueburn data from iCloud settings removes the synced copy.
Trueburn is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
If this policy changes materially, the app will say so before the change takes effect. Questions: forkcast.support@gmail.com.
